#3: Sachloving a trip to Israel
Without a doubt, visiting Israel was one of the most life-altering experiences I've ever had. A blog post just isn't enough space to elaborate on every single detail and aspect of why this trip was so important to me, but I'll hit on a few of the major highlights.

Divon explaining his opinion of "What makes a Jew" |
1. I will forever kick myself for not recording Divon's welcome speech to us, but at least I have a picture of it. This was the first "activity" after a 15 hour flight and will probably remain one of the most poignant memories of the trip for me. What Divon had to say answered so many internal questions and struggles I'd been turning over in my brain for years. It was literally at this moment that I finally felt comfortable telling people, "Yes, I'm Jewish." We met Divon a few more times during the trip, and each time he said something new to solidify this not new, but confirmed, aspect of who I am.
2. Becoming Bat Mitzvah in Jerusalem along with 10 of my companions
3. Making a lifelong connection with a few very special Israelis
