So, yesterday a friend and I found ourselves chillin' out max and relaxing all cool and in need of a distraction from Game 6 of the NLCS. We had spotted this earlier and it seemed fitting:

This is what ensued....
Step 3: Cover in cookie dough.
We found it best to start with a basic, flattened base, then start building the dough up the sides, ultimately topping with another flattened circle of dough. Fill in the holes as best you can.
Step 4: Bake.
350 Degrees for more or less 17 minutes of bake time. Keep a close eye on them after 14 minutes.
Step 4A: Burst out laughing when you see the globular cookie-fail after about 7 minutes of bake time.
Step 5: GET IN MY MOUTH.
Still an unholy amount of delicious.
Step 1: Grocery run.
Apparently these are not items traditionally kept in my friend's pantry, but a 10 minute trip to the store fixed that. Most likely the best $13 ever spent.

You will definitely want more than one log of cookie dough...
This yielded 7 cookie s'mores, with plenty of s'mores
ingredients left over.

Step 2: Assemble s'mores.
Originally we started with a half-graham cracker, two bricks of Hershey's and a big marshmallow sliced in half. It became immediately apparent that this would be too big for what we were attempting, at which point we broke everything in half (except the marshmallows) and did a vertical stack. Not sure that this was a better idea...

These are bigger than sticks of butter. I also did not spatially plan this particularly well, but I didn't want to risk straightening that one wayward cookie s'more out and ruining it. |

...Cake Fails, anyone? |
Still an unholy amount of delicious.
For Next Time...
I absolutely intend on making these again, but there are a few things I might do differently...
- Change the structure: Cookie base, 1 rectangular graham, 1 brick of chocolate, 1 marshmallow cut in half and placed both sides together. Skip the 2nd brick of chocolate, 2nd graham and cookie topping. I would still build up the cookie dough around the sides.
- Leave the marshmallow exposed on the top. See that lovely toasty color they were turning?
- Only eat half of one. Seriously, I think I went into a sugar coma about a third of the way into this thing.
